How Custom Do You Want It?

This baby quilt came with a challenge! Our customer provided us with some well thought out instructions, but also left some decisions up to us.
She wanted us to use the motifs in the printed fabrics for the block designs, per quilter's choice. She wanted white for her top thread, but the coordinating thread color in the bobbin for each space. For instance, in the red blocks, we used a red thread in the bobbin and for the blue blocks, a blue bobbin thread. Those colors really pop on the white backing!
In the printed fabric blocks, we were to choose one matching motif to go in all. In the solid color blocks, she wanted to switch it and have a different motif in each. There were also 2 blocks that All blocks could be quilted in any direction. The border was completely quilter's choice, but we were to use a motif for the blue sashing and one for the red sashing, but we couldn't repeat those motifs in the large blocks.
